You would probably forget your computer specs within a matter of months, if you knew your full system specs at all. I could imagine if you purchased the computer at a store or had someone else build it for you. Sometimes I had to remove memory chips, sound, video and other circuit boards just to find the specific information I wanted. It is hard to read specific card, RAM or motherboard model numbers when they are in the case. Years ago when I would build a computer and I was unaware of any software around to grab the system info for me I would need to open up the computer case to look up the information. After 8 months to a year of owning a new computer I tend to forget my system specs… and I custom build the freakin’ things.
